If you’re
going to learn Spanish in Detroit there are two routes you
can take: you can go to one of the Spanish
schools I’ve listed above, or you can learn Spanish with a
good home-study course.
Home study courses have become
increasingly popular over recent years as they are cheaper
and more convenient to study – you can learn from your
living room or your car, and in your own time, you don’t
have to travel to a class across Detroit three nights a
week.
An advantage of home study courses
often
identified by Spanish teaching professionals is that crowded
classrooms tend to slow down to the pace of the slowest
student, which is unfair on the other students but can’t be
helped unless the school kicks out all the students who
can’t keep up (which of course, not many do!). Also in a
classroom the teacher’s attention is divided between
yourself and 10 or 20 other students.
In the past there were not many good home
study courses available as an alternative to traditional
classes, but today there are some excellent home-study
courses. The best home study course you can use to learn
Spanish in Detroit is
Rocket Spanish. You can check this course out in detail
here:
If you decide to learn Spanish in Detroit
with one of the schools, make sure that you ask them
beforehand how much individual attention students get, and
how fast the pace of the classes are. If you’re not
satisfied with their answers, try a different one.
Whichever route you take to learn Spanish
in Detroit, it’s a great city to learn Spanish in! This
traditional automotive city known as The Motor City (and
also know as Rock City – dubbed so by KISS) is an exciting
place to live. And the city has a large Spanish-speaking
community that will give you the chance to practise your
newfound language skills.
