Spain is the place where Spanish truly lives.

of Madrid and the people of Madrid 'Madrilenos' are well-known

have.
Happy to Talk
Like everyone in Spain, the locals love to hear a foreigner
trying to learn their language, and are more than happy to
help. They are especially pleased if it is a native-Engligh
speaker whom everyone knows could just speak English if they
pleased. Although, rather fortunately, not that many people in
Madrid actually speak English. Which is good for you!
If you are going to learn Spanish in Madrid but don't yet
know the city well, the quickest way to get properly acquainted
is to meet the locals.
This is because speaking the language is the quickest way to
learn and weed away all your mistakes until there are none,
it's actually better to learn from a home-study course than
classroom-based lessons. Then make sure you are immersing
yourself in the Madrid culture. You can read a review of a good
Spanish home study course here: Rocket Spanish Review
Madrid is a beautiful city which combines tradition with
modernity. The city is filled with impressionaist architecture
that creates the backdrop to its powerful atmosphere. It is
filled with marketplaces, especially on Sunday morning 'El
Rastro', where you can feel the pulse of the city. And there
are more museums, art galleries theatres and churches than any
other city in Spain.
While the social side of things is as hot and vibrant as
only the Spanish know how to enjoy it truly is a great idea to
live and learn Spanish in Madrid.
